On behalf of the Coalition for a Better Oakland, I’d like to thank the following individuals for donating to us:
Todd Soderberg, Jack Saunders, Thomas Higgins, James Donatell, Michael Zatkin, Alioot (whoever you are!), Aria White, Viktor Salitrennik, Ben Marcus and Judy Monnier.
Your generous donations are helping us pay the bills, which include domaine registration, website hosting, checking account fees and incidentals. For example, we’re going to spend a couple hundred dollars on a beautiful plaque to award the first-ever winner of our Person of the Year Award, Vincent Ray Williams III, who founded and leads the Urban Compassion Project. (I’ll have plenty more to say about Vincent when we formally give him the award.)
Down the road I anticipate other costs, such as reprographics. I promise you that whatever donations we get will be well-tended. We’ll spend cautiously and scrupulously, and will be able to account for every dime, thanks to the efforts of our treasurer, Todd Soderberg.
Here’s a link to how you can donate.
Again, a huge thank you!
Steve Heimoff
